Original Issue:

This might be tough to explain but I’ll try. So bear with me. The issue started when I noticed that the hikashop Recaptcha plugin would timeout way too quickly on my checkout form. I also had customers complain about the timeout because it forced them to have to reenter info on checkout page. I researched and commented about this on hikashop forum (https://www.hikashop.com/forum/checkout/901564-hikashop-recaptcha-v2-seems-to-have-stopped-working.html) and hikashop said it was google’s fault.

In backend, open Plugin Hikashop ReCaptcha v2. On ‘Display After’ setting, if I have Email selected, then the captcha displays right after the Email and Email Confirmation boxes in checkout form. (add an item to cart and proceed to checkout for this). With captcha in this position, the user would select I’m not a robot box and then have to take time to fill in name, address, shipping and credit card into. After all this, the captcha might time out (as guest checkout).

So I set Plugin Hikashop ReCaptcha v2 ‘Display After’ setting to Address. Great, this moved captcha below name/address area and gave enough time for user to enter credit card info and finish.

I then notice though that on registration form at https://www.silverconnection.com/index.php/component/users/?view=registration the hikashop captcha disappeared. If I changed Hikashop ReCaptcha v2 Display After setting back to Email, then it displayed but wouldn’t work. I also tried Plugin CAPTCHA – RECAPTCHA and now I think I have messed it all up. If I enable CAPTCHA – RECAPTCHA and submit form, then I get an error that says Anti-bot Validation – Unknown error.

So in summary, it seems that my registration form is broken because of captcha error and I’m not sure what captcha plugin to use for it. Invoice me for cost.
